# Referrals

> Each time an artist uses your referral link to sign up for Supertape, and they upgrade to Pro, you'll both get credited $12 on your next invoice.

The best way for a musician to discover Supertape is from another musician. As a small, independent music company, we rely on these word-of-mouth referrals, and this program is our way of saying thanks for helping to spread the word.

## How the referral program works

    You're given a unique referral link that will be used for the [referral
    badge](#sharing-your-referral-badge) on your site, and you can also [share
    your link](#sharing-your-referral-link) on social media, email campaigns, or
    anywhere else.

  <Step title="Someone uses your link to upgrade to Pro">
    One of your site visitors, fans, friends, or fellow artists uses your unique
    referral link to sign up for Supertape within 60 days, and at some point
    they upgrade to our Pro plan.
  </Step>

  <Step title="You both get credited $12">
    They'll get \$12 off their first invoice, and you'll get \$12 off your next
    one. If you're on the Free plan, it will apply if you upgrade to Pro in the
    future.

  You can earn as many credits as you want, but there are a few rules: you can't
  refer yourself, referrals only count on someone's first Pro site, and other
  criteria in our [Referral Program Terms](/legal/referral-program-terms).

## Sharing your referral badge

By default, we show a **Made with Supertape** badge on all sites, using your referral link. This allows you to potentially earn credits from anyone visiting your site.

## Sharing your referral link

Begin earning credits by sharing your unique referral link with fans and friends.

1. Visit the **Get a month free** section of the app.
2. Hit the **Copy** button to copy the link to your clipboard.
3. Share the link on social media, in email campaigns, ads, or anywhere else.

## Tracking your referrals

Keep track of your referral stats by visiting the **Get a month free** section of the app.

* **Referrals signed up** - the number of people who signed up using your referral link.
* **Referrals upgraded** - the number of those signups who have upgraded to Pro.
* **Credits earned** - the amount of money that has been credited to your Pro plan.
* **Credits remaining** - the amount of money remaining to be credited to your next invoice.
