Tracking your stats

Supertape tracks stats for your site to provide you with insight into what your fans are doing on your site, how they got there, and where they’re located. All of this is done without cookies to respect your fans’ privacy, something most analytics tracking is really bad at.

Stats will include your own visits and views as well.

Filtering your stats

To gain a deeper understanding of your visitor trends and growth, we allow you to filter your stats in a few different ways:

  • Date range - when a fan visited your site.

  • Country - the location a fan is visiting from.

  • Referrer - the website or platform a fan was linked to your site from.

  • Type - the type of item or platform a fan viewed.

The Type filter only applies to the Inventory views and Platform views stats.

Tracking visitors

The top of your Dashboard shows a few important things, matching the selected filters:

  • Visitors - How many fans have visited your site.

  • Change from last period - The difference from the previous amount of visitors.

  • Visitor's today - How many visitors have been to your site today.

  • Visitors chart - a visual breakdown of your visitors across the selected date range.

Tracking inventory views

The Inventory views section of the Dashboard shows how many fans have visited items in your inventory, matching the selected filters.

Tracking platform views

The Platform views section of the Dashboard shows how many fans have linked off to a given platform from your site, matching the selected filters.

Tracking referrers

The Visitor referrers section for the Dashboard shows the most popular websites and platforms your fans were on when they linked to your site, matching the selected filters.

A top referrer will likely be Direct / Unknown. This represents people who typed your URL directly into their browser, came from an email or app, or referrer info wasn’t sent from the site they came from.

Tracking countries

The Visitor countries section for the Dashboard shows the most popular countries your fans were located in when they visited to your site, matching the selected filters.
