Frequently Asked Questions
Common answers to common questions you may have about Supertape.
Sites
Label and multi-project sites are something we’re discussing, but for now our sites are designed for individual artists. If this is something you’re interested in, let us know!
Definitely! You can create or be invited to the team of any number of sites, and easily switch between them.
Yes! Supertape sites were designed to be the perfect link-in-bio for musicians, while also connecting your fans to the rest of your music, merch, videos, and events.
We have a private API we’ve been cooking on, so if you’re interested in using it to create a custom website or app integration, get in touch.
Inventory
This usually happens for a few reasons:
It was added after our nightly sync. Fix it by manually sync the platform again.
- There’s a platform-specific issue. Fix it by checking that platform’s help doc.
It was linked incorrectly with another item. Fix it by filtering your inventory list to view items only linked to the missing platform, find the platform link on one of the items, and edit the link to point to the correct (or new) item.
Platforms
Our goal is to support all of the platforms our artists use, but we haven’t been able to add them all yet, due to various technical or business reasons. If you’d like to see a platform added, please let us know.
If we don’t support a platform important to you, you can still link to it from your posts, footer, Info page, and item descriptions.
Design
You can’t add totally custom pages to your site, but the Info page is designed to house anything you’d like to share, such as a bio and contacts for press, booking, and more.
No, we’re not big fans of contact forms, and the issues they can cause. Instead, we recommend you share your contact information in your Info page.
Even though photo galleries are common on some older websites, these days we think it’s better for musicians to keep their website lean and mean, and direct fans to social platforms like Instagram for sharing photos.
Billing
Supertape offers a free plan for musicians just getting started, and a Pro plan starting at $9/month for those actively promoting their music. Learn more.
While we’d hate to see you go, you can cancel your subscription and delete your site at any time. If there’s something we can help you with to prevent that, please let us know.
